Muditam

Acknowledging the therapeutic potential of music in promoting mental well-being, there's a noticeable gap in the provision of culturally tailored interventions, specifically within Indian Carnatic music. This deficiency reflects a missed opportunity to leverage Carnatic music's profound emotional impact for mental health support. Such interventions fail to address the diverse needs and preferences of individuals seeking alternative methods for mental health management. Thus, innovative approaches integrating Carnatic music into mental health care are imperative to offer culturally relevant and effective support for emotional regulation, stress reduction, and overall psychological wellness.

I spearheaded the conceptualization and design of Muditam, an innovative application/platform that integrates Carnatic music into mental health support. Drawing upon my expertise in interaction design and user experience, I conducted extensive research into music therapy principles and Carnatic ragas to address industry gaps.
I led the design of Muditam's interface, translating conceptual ideas into tangible wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes, with a focus on intuitive navigation, clear visual hierarchy, and seamless interactions. Embracing an iterative design process, I continuously refined and improved the interface based on user feedback, ensuring that Muditam effectively meets the needs of its users. I also incorporated features such as mood detection, activity-based music selection, and personalized support functions.
